Detail
A cylindrical lens is an optical element whose surface is cylindrical (or composed of a cylindrical surface and a planar surface). Its core feature is that it has different refractive capabilities in different directions. It is mainly used for one-dimensional (linear) focusing, divergence, or astigmatism correction of light. It utilizes the law of refraction of light and only causes refraction of light in the direction perpendicular to the cylindrical axis. In the direction parallel to the axis, the propagation direction of the light remains unchanged, thereby achieving one-dimensional focusing or defocusing effects. Its application scenarios cover vision correction, laser processing, optical instruments, etc., and is indispensable in scenarios that require handling asymmetric light beams or correcting astigmatism.

Sizes can be customized as needed. We can produce the lenses according to customers’ drawings or specifications.
